As one of the main themes of today's world development, “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals” and intellectualization provide new opportunities and challenges for the application, innovation and development of fluid power and mechatronics technology. Fluid power and mechatronics, as important supporting technologies in mobile machinery, aerospace navigation, manufacturing and other equipment, need to accelerate their evolution in energy transformation, intelligence, high reliability and technology integration to provide support for the upgrading of electromechanical equipment. 

The International Conference on Fluid Power and Mechatronics, hosted by the Fluid Transmission and Control Institution of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, held every 4 years, is an international high-impact academic event, and has been successfully held for 8 sessions since 1991. Over the years, the conference has received strong support from the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, IEEE, and GFPS.  The 9th International Conference on Fluid Power and Mechatronics will be held in Lanzhou, Gansu Province on August 11 to 14, 2023 by Lanzhou University of Technology. “Fluid Power in Energy Transformation” is the theme of the conference. Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province, geometric center of China's terrestrial territory, is a famous cultural city on the Yellow River with a long history. The natural landforms of Gansu Province are rich, diverse and spectacular.
